Hipsters are the prime representation of late stage capitalism. Conspicuous consumption, perfectly informed about a million things that don’t matter, nostalgia for any era before the great decline of the empire, commercializing any symbols of revolutionary or symbolic resistance, turning art into a commodity and overall apathy towards the greater state of the world outside their sphere of pretension.

No accountability, no responsibility, not an original thought in their head despite the years of art school. Vegan not for the animals but for the ladies, bisexual because the TV says it’s cool, not because of their hearts. 11 dollar cigarettes next to a 6$ 6-pack of my union fathers beer, they seem bent on ruining anything that seems authentic or natural to me. They are essentially cultural raiders. Cultural parasites working with capitalism paycheck in their back pocket, working to turn great ideas and great people into flash in the pan trends.
